The Road Not Taken for Chorus with Piano, Opus 77 (Written in 2001) Poem by Robert Frost. This is a slideshow I've done to go with a performance of one of my compositions. This choral work is performed by the San Jose Symphonic Choir, and directed by Leroy Kromm.
The Road Not Taken
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth.
Then took the other, as just as fai
"And did those feet in ancient time" is a short poem by William Blake from the preface to his epic Milton: a Poem (1804). Today it is best known as the hymn "Jerusalem", with music written by C. Hubert H. Parry in 1916. This poem was written about the Industrial Revolution that took place duing the early 19th century.
The first verse asks did Christ visit Britain. This may be metaphorical or literal. There is an old English legend that Christ came to Britain as a boy.
